Jasper County Airport is once again hosting Tunes on the Tarmac on August 25th from 5-7 pm CT. Tunes on the Tarmac is a charity/benefit concert series focused on funding charities and causes with local reach. 100% of the admissions proceeds from the August 25th, 2018 concert will go toward funding a Safe Halloween Event, which will be hosted later in the year at the JC fairgrounds.

The next Tunes on the Tarmac will feature a Chicagoland favorite band, the Burb’ns, who agreed to donate their performance to fund the featured cause. Also performing will be the Rensselaer Central High School Bomber Brigade with a drum line demonstration. Food concessions will be sold by the Rensselaer Rotary Club and Rensselaer Lions Club. Excel Air Services, the airport’s on-field maintenance provider will also give a discovery flight away as a door prize to kick off their flight training and aircraft rental operation!. Parking will be across the street at the Jasper County Fairgrounds.

This event could not have happened without the generosity of the Burb’ns, Rensselaer Central Bomber Brigade, Rensselaer Rotary and Lions Clubs, Excel Air Services, Safe Halloween Committee, Jasper County Fairgrounds, and the Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department, especially firefighter Randy Denton (delivering chairs to the airport).

Come out to enjoy this fun-filled, family friendly night of great music while supporting your community!

Please contact airport management with future concert and benefit suggestions.

See you at the airport on August 25th, 2018 from 5-7pm.
