Youth Aviation Summer Camp at Jasper County Airport! The airport will host a 4-day aviation summer camp starting July 9th. Camp hours will run from 9:30 am- 12:30 pm Central Tuesday-Friday with Friday the 12th running from 9:30 am to 3 pm central due to a planned field trip. The camp is free and open to any Indiana 8th-12th grader interested in learning about aviation. Camp attendees will get to learn about and fly drones; learn about and potentially fly an aircraft (aircraft rides/pilots in works); and will tour Purdue’s Aviation Campus as well as an air traffic control tower. Transportation to Lafayette will be provided. Due to the nature of aviation being affected by weather and other factors, and the professionals needed to make these activities happen, some of the activities above may change.
