Hangar Site Work Begins
On September 26th, the Hamstra Group began site work in preparation for the Jasper County Airport’s 9 Unit T-Hangar project. The hangar is slated for completion by the end of December, 2016, weather permitting. Construction crews have poured the pier pylons and are currently pouring the footings for the foundation. The Erect-A-Tube building is currently being manufactured and will be shipped to the airport within the next two or three weeks. Each unit will be fully partitioned.
Heating and Insulation
The hangar will not be insulated or heated.The City of Rensselaer will install a manifold on the west side of the hangar. The Jasper County Airport Authority agreed to connect the gas from the City’s main to the manifold. Tenants wishing to insulate or heat may do so at their own expense. Tenants would be responsible for meter lease and running pipe from the meter to their hangar unit. Future tenants should contact Hamstra as soon as possible to coordinate insulation or heating requests.

Hangar Specs
The 9 Unit Nested T-Hangar is designed to accommodate aircraft wingspans of almost 48 feet. Nominal hangar door widths are 42′, 44′, 46′, and 48′ with height being 12′. The Jasper County Airport Authority selected a rental rate structure based on hangar sizes. Initial hangar rental fees are:

Currently, two individuals have submitted letters of intent to rent the 48′ hangars. 42′, 44′, and 46′ hangars are still available. The current hangar waiting list was contacted for potential interest. A direct mail marketing campaign is currently under way. The campaign targets aircraft owners within Jasper, as well as surrounding counties.
Hangar Rental
Those interested in renting should submit letters of intent to the airport manager. Letters should include requested hangar width and information about the aircraft to be hangared. Letters may be mailed or emailed to the airport manager at:
