Jasper County Airport proudly announces Tunes on the Tarmac, a charity benefit concert series benefiting local causes and charities with local reach. The next concert is scheduled for April 21st from 5-7 pm (or longer) central and will feature The New Heights Band as well as 1200 South Band. Both bands have graciously donated their performance to support the cause.
100% of the free-will admissions proceeds will fund the purchase and operation of equipment aimed at reuniting lost/missing children with their families by supplying parents with up-to-date child ID cards linked to a database accessible by the Sheriff’s Department. The mobile equipment would be operated by the Jasper County Sheriff’s department and can be deployed during large gatherings or special events.
This project was developed by the Jasper County Leadership class of 2017/18 in partnership with Purdue Extension, Jasper County, JC Sheriff’s Department, and Jasper Foundation. Jasper County Airport is grateful to have an opportunity to partner these community leaders in support of such a great local cause.
Food Concessions will be available for purchase through the Lions Club.
Both bands perform rock/pop/country songs and will feature a family-friendly performance, catering to a large audience. Both bands are also regional to our area.
