Jasper County Airport recently acquired a 1975 Cessna 172M that will be available for rental. Although the airport does not hire or employ any flight instructors directly, the airport does have a list of pre-approved independent contractor CFIs. Students already working with a CFI can have their instructor added to the approved list by request.

The rental aircraft will have an introductory rate of $115 per hour wet (including fuel) plus tax. Renters will pay the airport for the rental of the aircraft and pay the instructors directly for instruction received. The airport will keep the introductory period going as long as it can, especially if there is a lot of activity and interest.

The airport will host several information sessions to discuss the new rental aircraft and answer questions about rental, flight training, or aviation in general. The current schedule for the q&a information sessions includes:

  • February 20 from 5-7 pm ct
  • February 29 from 12-2 pm ct
  • March 15 from 2-4 pm ct

Anyone interested can simply show up at one of these times. Individual appointments also available outside of these hours by calling 219-866-2100 or email Info@JasperCountyAirport.com.
