Appreciative of the input received, the Jasper County Airport Authority will proceed on April 18th with our runway/taxiway edge lights and airfield guidance signs shutting off after fifteen minutes without three, five, or seven radio-microphone clicks on 122.8 nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Central time instead of dimming to low intensity as they do presently. During that time, our runway/taxiway edge lights and airfield guidance signs will remain pilot-controlled such that three, five, and seven radio-microphone clicks on 122.8 will bring the lights to low, medium, and high intensity, respectively, with the only change their shutting off after fifteen minutes without such activity in furtherance of our financial and environmental stewardship.
