Busy Bee Ice Cream will serve amazing hand-dipped ice cream at Jasper County Airport on July 20, 21, 27, and 28 from 12-5 pm central. During this time, the Jasper County Fair will be across the street. The airport receives an influx of traffic during the end of July due to pilots using Jasper County as a fuel stop on their way to and from EAA Airventure, otherwise known as OshKosh to the pilot community, the greatest aviation trade show ever. The airport wanted to be able to feature local flavor and give transients one other reason to come back.
Pilots can fly in, get fuel, enjoy Busy Bee ice cream, go across the street to have a blast at the fair. Pilots also have the option of taking the airport’s courtesy car into town.
As if that wasn’t enough, on the 26th and 27th, the airport will have two biplane operators selling biplane rides at the airport.
