Jasper County Airport will once again host a First Responder Aviation Crash Course on April 20, 2019 from 10 am to Noon Central. The free event aims to show regional first responders the hazards associated with responding to an aircraft accident or incident. Although the event is geared toward first responders, it is open to anyone interested in learning about aviation emergency operations.

Training will be conducted by Assistant Chief Brad Anderson, an aircraft rescue and firefighting trained firefighter from Purdue University Airport. Purdue University Airport’s fire department has conducted the previous training with an NTSB Investigator. Jasper County Airport has requested NTSB participation and is awaiting confirmation.
