Jasper County Airport has joined forces with Excel Air Services to offer an amazing opportunity for local and regional pilots. On September 21st from 10am-12pm cdt, the airport will host an FAA Pilot Safety “Wings” seminar at Excel Air’s maintenance hangar. Seminar topics will include Aviation Weather and Pre-flight Inspections after maintenance. At noon, those in attendance will be treated to lunch, courtesy of Excel Air Services and Jasper County Airport. After lunch, John Sjaardema, owner of Excel Air Services, will lead the maintenance clinic portion where he will discuss important maintenance issues every aircraft owner or pilot should know. This event is free and open to the public, especially those interested in learning about aviation and aviation maintenance. Those in attendance will not only be treated to morning refreshments and afternoon lunch, they will also receive FAA Wings credit for attending the morning seminar conducted by FAASTeam Representative Dennis Miller.
